Obama and Approval Ratings 2014

During the wake of the on going conflict between Israel and Palestine and Russia and Ukraine the President is again on the path of gaining or losing followers. Recent approval ratings has dipped from 69% in January 2009 to about 41% on July 2014 according to Gallup a public opinion firm. What would happen if President Obama was planning to (hypothetically) run for office again and how can these approval ratings and media rants affect his political future? According to my recent research performed after the 2012 Presidential election, " the influence of social media on young voters has an influential effect as long as it goes along with their own established ideologies and principles. For example, Ben might believe that a 'leader' should fight anyone that steps over a drawn line in the playground. Joanna believes a 'leader' is one that can talk his way out of a fight and in turn has freedom to play on all sides of the playground. In both instances the same word leader is being used but both Ben and Joanna have different associations to its meaning. Ben would then think that Joanna's leader is a weakling and Joanna would think that Ben's leader is a thug or a bully.A news headline that reads  'Joanna's leader can't lift 10 pounds' Ben and his friends would agree without hesitation. If a headline read, 'Ben's leader the class bully' Joanna and her friends' would  further be convinced. In relation to the great influx of dialog, personal, in print and broadcast all have taken sides for or against the President's strategy or how he performs his job, but is not all of our ideas of leadership ability differently? Social media according to my research serves as a tool to reinforce what an individual already believe to be true or have some type of consistency to there own belief system.  Here is a link to the research

What do you believe about social media?
